 Vazhaipoo Usili Vazhaipoo usili is basically a South Indian dish, especially from Tamil Nadu. The word usili means broken or crumbled. There are so many Usili dishes here in Tamil Nadu. So, today I am going to show you the very tasty and nutrient-rich recipe of Vazhaipoo Usili. Also, the recipe is a good combination for gravies, curd rice, and rasam rice. And also, vazhaipoo (banana flower or banana blossom) was a good source of iron, calcium, fiber, potassium, and vitamins A, B, and E. So, I'll give step-by-step instructions in the below post. Black chickpeas Dosa




Black chickpeas typically have high protein and fiber contents. It is known as "kondakadalai" in Tamil and "black chana" in Hindi. So I'll share how to make black Chana dosa. and I also attached images in the below post.


Ingredients:

  • Black chickpeas          - 1 cup
  • Raw rice or idly rice   - 1 cup
  • Green chillies             - 2 nos
  • Ginger                       - 1 inch
  • Salt                           - as per taste

Instructions:

  • To begin, wash and soak black chickpeas for 8 hours and raw rice for 3 hours separately.

  • After finishing soaking, add the black chickpeas and raw rice to the mixer jar, along with the green chilies and ginger.

  • Then, gradually add water and grind until the batter is coarse. 

  • After that, add salt and mix well. then heat the kadai, pour the batter, and cook for both side  2–3 minutes.

  • Finally, the nutritious and healthy black chickpeas are ready, so serve them hot.
