So, today I am going to show you the very tasty and nutrient-rich recipe of Vazhaipoo Usili. Also, the recipe is a good combination for gravies, curd rice, and rasam rice. Hi, guys! Today I am going to share about the healthy recipe of kambu dosa. It is also known as bajra in Hindi and pearl millet in English. It was made of rice, kambu, urad dal and fenugreek seeds. Pearl millet, or kambu dosa, includes significant amounts of fiber, iron, folic acid, and other minerals. It is delicious and beneficial to our health. I will therefore outline how to make kambu dosa in this post.


Ingredients:

  • Kambu (Pearl millet)      - 1 cup
  • Raw rice / Idly rice      - 1 cup
  • Urad dal                     - 1/2 cup
  • Fenugreek seeds           - 1 tsp
  • Salt                            - as per taste

Instructions:

  • Take a bowl and add kambu, raw rice / idly rice, urad dal and fenugreek seeds and wash 3 to 4 times and soak for 3- 4 hours.


  • After 3 hours transfer everything to the mixer jar and grind to the dosa batter consistency. Then place the batter into the bowl, add salt and ferment for 8 hours.

  • After that, heat a dosa pan and pour the kambu batter and cook both sides for 2 minutes and serve with your favourite side dish.
