So, today I am going to show you the very tasty and nutrient-rich recipe of Vazhaipoo Usili. Also, the recipe is a good combination for gravies, curd rice, and rasam rice. Hello, everyone! Today I'll show you how to make the well-known tea kadai bonda. It is very popular in Tamil Nadu. Tea kadai bonda was made with onions, besan flour, rice flour, and some herbs and spices. It is suitable for the rainy season. So, I've given the instructions with photos in the below post, step by step.


Ingredients:

  • Onion                 -  2 medium size (sliced)
  • Besan flour         - 1 cup
  • Rice flour           - 1/2 cup
  • Green chilli        - 2 nos (finely chopped)
  • Ginger                - 1 inch (smashed)
  • Curry leaves       - Handful
  • Chilli powder     - 1 tsp
  • Salt                     - as per taste
  • Oil                      - for deep fry

Instructions:

  • Firstly, take a mixing bowl, add onion (sliced and separated), besan flour, rice flour, green chilli, ginger, chilli powder, salt, and mix well, then add water by sprinkling and making a ball consistency.


  • After that, heat a pan, add oil for deep frying, and once the oil gets hot, add the onion balls and fry till they turn a golden brown colour.

  • Finally, onion bonda is ready. Enjoy it with coffee or tea.
