Hello, everyone, and today I'm going to share a simple and tasty recipe. It is a vegetable biryani. It's loaded with lots of vegetables and spices. So, I'll give a detailed description of this recipe, complete with step-by-step instructions and images.


Ingredients:

  • Basmati rice / Seeraga samba    - 1 cup
  • Onion                                         - 2 medium size (chopped)
  • Tomato                                       - 2 medium size (chopped)
  • Mint leaves                                 - handful
  • Green chilli                                 - 2 nos(slit)
  • Carrot                                          - 30g (chopped)
  • Potato                                          - 30g (chopped)
  • Beans                                           - 30g (chopped)
  • Ginger garlic paste                      - 1 tsp
  • Fennel seeds                                - 1 tsp
  • Clove                                           - 3 nos
  • Cinnamon                                    - 2 small sticks
  • Kalpasi                                         - 1 tsp
  • Bay leaf                                        - 2 nos
  • Kashmiri chilli powder                 -1 tsp
  • Garam masala                               - 1 tsp
  • Salt                                                - as per taste
  • Ghee                                              - 1 tbsp
  • Oil                                                 - 2 tsp
  • Water                                             - 2 cups

Instructions:

  • To begin, take 1 cup of seera samba or basmati rice and wash it 2-3 times, then soak it for 1/2 hour.

  • Heat a cooker, add ghee and oil, and once the oil gets heated, add all the spices, like fennel seeds, cinnamon, clove, kalpasi, and bay leaf, and sauté well.

  • Then, add green chilies, onion, tomato, ginger-garlic paste, mint leaves, salt and sauté for 2 minutes.

  • After 2 minutes, add the potato, carrot, and beans and cook for another 2–3 minutes. Then add Kashmiri chilli powder and garam masala and stir well.

  • Then, add the soaked rice, mix well, and add 2 cups of water, then cook for 2-3 whistles.

  • Finally, the tasty vegetable biryani is ready.
